Hledger Query assistance

Hi All,

Appologies if this is a stupid question but, I am wondering what an Hledger query would look like that could specify a regex description within a date range, I can't seem to get it to work.

Say I want to check an account (inclusive of sub accounts) for any transaction description containing "scout" between a date range.

What would that look like something like:

hledger register hsbc:main desc:'scout' date:'2026/04-2026-09'?

I know the above isn't quiet right, but what does right look like here?

Hi @D-K . That looks alright to me. The quotes are unnecessary in this example, and the date part separators are inconsistent, but it still works. That date range will match postings dated from 2026-04-01 to 2026-08-31 inclusive.
